USAP Hosts Inaugural Leadership Conference

Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. - Feb 3, 2016 - Today, U.S. Anesthesia Partners ("USAP" the nation's largest anesthesia-focused, single-specialty physician services organization, announced it will host its inaugural Leadership Conference Feb. 4 - 6, at the Marriott Harbor Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Nearly 100 clinical leaders from USAP physician partner practices will join 50 USAP business leaders for a collaborative, educational and inspirational two-day conference designed to build the USAP business into the preeminent anesthesia organization in the nation. "We're really excited about the opportunity to bring together our full clinical and business leadership to discuss the business of anesthesia, quality and safety of patient care, and how we can make the biggest, positive impact on the future of anesthesia," said Kris Bratberg, CEO, USAP.

US Anesthesia Partners unites more than 2,000 anesthesia providers in Florida, Texas and Colorado. Its unique partnership model keeps physician partners at the helm of their practice while they benefit from the business acumen and collaborative intellect of a larger organization.

"The gathering of so many brilliant minds in anesthesia in one room to discuss clinical and operational excellence and drive organic growth is a unique benefit of a partnership with US Anesthesia Partners," said Texas State Representative John Zerwas, MD, senior vice president at USAP, a member of the USAP Board of Directors and master of ceremonies at the USAP 2016 Leadership Conference. "Anesthesiologists have an opportunity, in working with surgeons and hospital systems, to really impact patient care and the entire pain management and surgical experience for patients and their families. At USAP, we are using data, analytics, collaboration and our business intelligence to build a nationwide organization that will make us the premier anesthesia program for hospitals, facilities and surgeons to work with."

The two-day leadership conference is the first for the 3-year old organization. With prominent keynote speakers and topics such as leadership; perioperative surgical homes, the hospital perspective, quality anesthesia care, healthcare market trends, building a world class team, legislative issues and sharing best practices across partner groups, this inaugural USAP leadership conference will set the stage for the future of USAP anesthesia care.
