“Success happens when preparation meets opportunity.” This can apply to life as well as anesthesia.
Amber Jandik, MD, Fort Myers
I have the opportunity to work mainly in an outpatient surgery center. I help patients have successful outpatient procedures by having them get physically and mentally prepared. I use multimodal pain protocols in addition to regional blocks to decrease post-operative pain. I also am aggressive in preventing and treating post-operative nausea and vomiting.
I grew up and trained in Iowa. I much prefer the Florida sunshine to the Iowa snow. I continue to support the University of Iowa through student scholarships and participation in my local Iowa Alumni Club.
