Kevin Angert, MD, Central Florida USAP Bio

Kevin Angert, MD, is a member of the USAP Board of Directors and a founding member of the JLR Medical Group. He has served several terms on the JLR Board of Directors and has been a member of the department’s peer review committee for more than 20 years.

He served as Chief Resident while completing a residency at Wake Forest University, which was followed by fellowship training in cardiothoracic anesthesia at Emory University. He then returned to Wake Forest as an Assistant Professor where he helped develop the heart transplant program.

Dr. Angert joined Florida Hospital in 1988 and served as Chief of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia for 18 years. He earned a combined BS/MD degree as a charter member of the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine.
